Ivan Verougstraete was former first president of the Belgium Supreme Court in the heart of the EU, in addition to being the former president of the BENELUX Court and of the Belgian Competition Authority.

Ivan Verougstraete was former first president of the Belgium Supreme Court in the heart of the EU, in addition to being the former president of the BENELUX Court and of the Belgian Competition Authority. As a former judge, Judge Verougstraete is perhaps the best person to interact with the judiciary, who may be resistant initially to such a center, especially in his capacity of former President of GEMME, the Association of European Judges for Mediation. Judge Verougstraete will be able to explain and promote the benefits of mediation and the ACDR from a judge’s perspective.
